Fluo, stripes and dots, oh my!
I got a little wrap crazy this year, but it was so much fun. Ostrich feathers, jingle bells, neon candy canes, sparkle fringe, branches…you name it and it snuck in. I am having an affair with printed washi tape right now. Hope your christmas was merry and bright!

Wrapping: Ideas and Inspirations
It could be that I have too many ideas…but distilling into graphic prints and fluorescents might be my favorite. And, of course, a little sparkle never hurt anybody.

One of my very favorite parts of the holidays is wrapping presents. I usually pick out a theme at the beginning of the month (leopard print paper with hot pink ribbons and chinese boxes, gold/black/houndstooth paper with metallic tissue…) and try to make a cohesive experience. This year I wanted something simpler, so I made button ribbon (twill tape with recycled buttons and jingle bells), pom-poms (from thrift store yarn), and kraft paper.
Then I found black and gold python paper that looks and feels like DREAMS. It needed to be used, so I wrapped Joanna’s birthday presents in it and made small happy noises. I’m thinking I might spraymount some of it to party hats for New Years’.

There’s a pear on my tree for no reason. I’ve yet to see a partridge.
