Pumpkin Party Part Two
Pumpkin Party Part One
This is by far one of my favorite parties ever. It combines all of my favorite things: pizza, crafts, friends, decorating and Halloween! So much fun. People were carving in every inch of Jordan’s house. We had a ton of pumpkin beer, glitter and guts flying all over, a fully-stocked craft bar, good knives, bad knives, knives that broke and an award ceremony with paper prize ribbons.
Tonight, Jordan and I are giving a pumpkin carving and crafting party at her cozy little downtown apartment. I’M SO EXCITED. As usual, I went overboard on my decorations budget, and am still crafting. I have at least 14 pumpkins (counting the bucket of babies)! We will be mulling cider, baking homemade fall pizzas, watching Hocus Pocus, laughing with friends, and generally being festive! Glitter all the fall things!
If you can’t tell, this is my favorite holiday of all. If you want to join us in spirit (pun intended):
• check out my pinterest inspiration board
• listen to this little Halloween playlist I put together
• make some tasty treats
Also: hand-painted papier mache log! This took so much longer than I thought it would. Lots of drying stages. My log will have something to say about this.
And, yes, I am a giant GIANT nerd. Haters gonna hate.
GPOY: I’m supposed to be making cupcakes, but I found face-paint on the way to the kitchen and…well.
Tomorrow night is our Pumpkin Party!
My Log Saw Something.
Like 1/3 of tumblr, this is my second Halloween costume. Luckily, the Roxie is having a Twin Peaks triple feature to get all dressed up for. I’m trying to track down an acorn bolero tie.
Made a little paper pumpkin garland this afternoon.
I Put a Spell on You
Let’s just all agree that this is one of the greatest film achievements of the modern age, because there’s no sense in fighting the truth, the 90’s, or Bette Midler’s vocal stylings.
