Spring always finds me obsessed with flowers.
It is a dream of mine to reach a level of income where I can have fresh flowers in the house all the time…without feeling guilty. They are a luxury purchase right now, but oh how they feel like a necessity!
My apartment overlooks a downtown community garden and the roses are in bloom. This time of year when the wind blows you can smell their sweet scent in the kitchen. It is one of my favorite things about my home: the scent of roses wafting in the windows on a sunny afternoon.
The pictures above are some bits from my apartment, which I am in the process of redecorating (on top of everything else I’m trying to be better at). My favorite, simple changes were painting the back of the bookcase pink, and hanging my favorite dress on display. These things make me happy.

Pop.
On my way home from class I stole a few moments in downtown and found this dress ($128 marked down to $40!). I think it will perfect to wear to Spring Show, combined with a pop of yellow, a sensible black blazer and heels. I’m calling it ‘The Warhol’, because it reminds me of his early flowers and clearly I’m five and like to name some of my clothes. Please disregard the wrinkles, I cannot be bothered at this time. Now back to homework, so I’m actually ready for Spring Show!
